ABOUT FDF
Function Drives Forms creates usable, drive-able “works of kinetic art” that deliver daily utility, enjoyment & reliability.
Function Drives Form (“FDF”) was born from a family legacy rooted in the automotive world, beginning two generations ago with the Felton Porsche dealership in San Rafael, California. What began with Porsche grew to include Audi, Volkswagen, International Harvester, and Lincoln, building a broad foundation of automotive knowledge, experience, and appreciation.
That legacy extends to the earliest days of motorsport on the Monterey Peninsula, when the Felton name was associated with the inaugural Pebble Beach Sports Car Club of America race. That event would help lay the groundwork for what is now known as Monterey Car Week. The same passion carried forward through generations of restoring and preparing vintage automobiles for some of the most celebrated events in the sport, including Pebble Beach, the Monterey Historics, the Sonoma Wine Country Classic, and La Carrera Panamericana.
Today, FDF brings that heritage forward with a clear philosophy: form should serve function, and great design should never come at the expense of the driving experience.
